STRESS

   A person cannot feel stressed unless they are first overwhelmed.  If you are feeling stressed do this...

  1. Get out a pad of paper and write down everything that overwhelms you.
  2. Go through the list and cross off anything you can't do anything about.
  3. Now go through the list and circle anything that you cannot do anything about now.
  4. Now whatever is left concentrate on One thing at a time until they are all gone.

   Keep this list, refer to it.  By writing it down you have taken it out of your head...

 

 
Weight Loss

   There is an emotion force feeding you!  Take 2 weeks and do the following.  Before putting anything in your mouth STOP and take notice as to how you feel.  For example:  If you discover that the feeling is lonely then DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE FEELING OF LONELY!  Weather you eat a cup of ice cream or a whole half gallon lonely will be there when you're done.  DO SOMETHING THAT WILL RESOLVE THE FEELING - EATING WON'T DO IT.

   You see we as humans always are trying to distract and comfort ourselves.  A lot of us do this with food.  Why do you think you learned that?  Good question, I'm glad you asked!  When you were born you went from the most comforted secure feeling and then at birth you went to the most insecure you will ever be... AND GUESS WHAT?  They put something in your mouth.  And then while growing up every time you were tired, scared, cranky, sick, etc... They put something in your mouth!  A cookie, cracker, ice cream, and yes a pacifier.

   Work out in the morning.  Before you eat anything or drink anything with flavor.  Get up, work out, and wait one full hour and then eat breakfast.  By doing this you will lose weight 300% FASTER.

 

 
Smokers

   If you want to quit, come and see me because the urge to smoke has nothing to do with nicotine!  The urge to smoke is ALWAYS EMOTIONALLY BASED!  Did I say that loud enough?  No kidding, I just did a smoking session and her urge was based in the feeling of being trapped.

   ANYWAY...  Do this smokers.  Whenever you smoke, JUST SMOKE.  Don't do anything else.  Don't talk, don't drink, don't drive!  If you want a cigarette pull over, get out of your car and smoke, then get back in.  By doing this you will associate to what you are really doing to yourself.

ALSO...

   When you smoke NEVER HOLD THE CIGARETTE.  This is the habit.  Go ahead and smoke all you want but put the cigarette down between puffs.

ALSO...

   Breath deeply once in a while when not smoking.  Most smokers only breath deeply when inhaling smoke.  Get in a new habit breathing clean air!
