Shopaholics

Compulsive shopping, or shopping addiction, has gained mainstream acceptance as a legitimate and serious disorder among behavioral experts in recent years. Like alcoholism or drug addiction, an addiction to shopping can mask underlying problems like depression or anxiety disorder, and the negative impact on relationships and finances can be devastating.

(Also known as Shop-a-holics.)

This is a real problem or disorder and should be taken seriously.  We as human beings do two things when there is a feeling inside that we don't like, we distract and comfort.  This is especially true with the "Too Much'es"  I drink too much, smoke too much, etc...

There is a feeling that you don't like and it is forcing you to spend and shop, shop, shop.  While you're engaged in that activity you are pushing that feeling away or comforting yourself.  The moment that we discover the feeling and remove it is the moment you will not be doing this any longer.

This can also be associated with wanting to please others... because you really need their approval.  I've seen this one as well.  But instead of using your conscious mind to try and figure it out, which you will never do, allow us to find the emotion that is causing this behavior and clear it away there, at it's source.

Stop this behavior, no willpower needed!
