I ask all my clients
what it felt like to be hypnotized.
They all pretty much say the following: "At first I was
wondering if I was hypnotized, is this what being hypnotized
feels like? Then I noticed I had an itch on my leg.
I thought, Is it okay to itch that or not? I could hear every word
you were saying although through the session I kind of didn't
listen to you here and there."
That's pretty much
what everyone says. Some don't believe they were
hypnotized even though at the beginning of every session I test
for somnambulism (level of depth). I believe this
sometimes happens because they have a preconceived idea of what
hypnosis should feel like.
Hypnosis is mental
focus while your body is relaxed. It is not what most
people believe it to be, it's a relaxed pleasant feeling. Did you know that your mind is actually 2000%
sharper while hypnotized? You can remember things your
conscious mind never could. All five senses are
heightened. It's pretty much the opposite of what we think
it is. Thanks to movies and stage shows, we think we're
being controlled. Nothing could be further from the truth.
